Buffalo island

Lovingly referred to as “Buffalo Island,” the entrance to the Dickerson Pike corridor represents the early history of the buffalo trail that ran through the area. Funded by MDHA, Buffalo Island was redesigned and constructed with the current sign and Buffalos in 2009. DRMA is currently raising funds and planning events to support the further development of Buffalo Island with pedestrian walkways, landscaping, and lighting. The landscaping of Buffalo Island is proudly maintained by one of our members, The Cauble Group.
